1985 Cornu Chorey les Beaune Les Bons Ores
The Edmond Cornu et Fils Estate is located in the village of nChorey-les-Beaune. The vines are planted on light clayey limestone soil over gravel subsoil. The handpicked grapes are destemmed upon entering the tank. Maceration lasts between 8 and 10 days. The wine obtained from pressing is barreled in January, where it will spend from 14 to 16 months prior to bottling.
Sold for a long time under the Côtes de Beaune Villages label, Chorey-les-Beaune is less renowned than its neighboring, appellations. Voluptuous and tangy, solidly built around soft tannins. The Chorey-les-Beaune appellation can be cellared between 6 and 10 years under appropriate conditions yet can also be served much sooner. A delectable and fruity wine, it still features a nice tannin texture. A great accompaniment for game dishes, red meats and gourmet cheese platters.
