1973 Mouton Rothschild 750ml

Age is apparent, but an absolutely delightful nose. Mature, but sharply delineated, with balsamic, smoke, cola and candied strawberries, leather and a bit of sea air. Complex and utterly compelling, not just for the vintage, but for any vintage. Nice balance as always with these old Moutons. Delightful tang on the finish, initially a little short but fills out an hour or so after opening. Tannins went.
